I forgot to mention that River weighed in at 20 pounds at the Vet on Saturday. That means she has officially doubled in size since we brought her home. It's a little hard to believe since we've only had her 5 weeks, but there it is.
Speaking of forgetfulness, the Vet forgot to give River her next installment of deworming medicine. So I had to go get the dose and administer it myself. Fortunately, River loves the deworming medicine, so the only difficulty is getting her not to eat the little plastic thing the medicine comes in.
And last but not least... My step-mom is something of a health food nut, so was absolutely delighted to discover that River would eat vegetables. She handled broccoli and sweet potatoes fine (we only let her have tiny amounts of each since we're trying to limit her consumption of people food in general). The carrot came out in tiny chucks in her poop so clearly she doesn't digest that very well. The green beans she got on Sunday night, she yakked up last night at 5am. So no more green beans for River.
