This is River, the newest member of Team Clark. She's 7 weeks old, a black labrador retriever, and crazy cute.
We picked her up on the 31st, and she was really good on the drive home (3 hours). Very calm and quiet, curious about the car and the two of us. She did piddle on DH shortly before we got home, but it had been a while since we had stopped.
The first night was a little rough on all of us. We're crate training her and she was unfamiliar with the crate, so she whined and yowled (her yowl is actually kind of cute until you add the frequency with which she was using it). We were up each hour to take her outside and still had two piddle accidents and one accident with poop (we had to give her a shower after that one).
DH survived the next day with lots of naps (one of his days off). I survived the next day with 5-hour Energy Drink, which tastes foul but does work without a crash.
