Last of the catch up posts. Promise.
I adopted the Green Bay Packers as 'my team' back in college, as it seemed like throwing my support behind the local Seahawks was just asking for heartache and ridicule. I liked that the Packers were publicly owned, and the fact their mascot is basically cheese is just awesomesauce.
In late November the Packers announced that for the first time since 1995 they would sell a limited [not really all that limited] number of shares. On December 14, 2011 I purchased 1 share of stock in Green Bay Packers Inc. and became an official NFL team owner.
Living the dream!
