2012 Week 1 - A Fond Farewell, Coconut Milk and Nerds

• My dear friend Sally (Co-captain of the Small Town Adventures Team) finally made the announcement at work that she'll be leaving at the end of the month. Her hubby is in the Navy and he has new orders. To San Diego no less. Now who will [willingly] go to the Fair with me?!

• I try my best not to sample stuff as I make the rounds at Costco, but on my latest trip I found myself extremely thirsty and only about half done with my shopping. So when I found someone with drink samples I gave in. Big mistake. Turns out I don't like coconut milk. I'm pretty sure no one saw me make the yuck face fortunately.

• What's making me happy this week (a la Pop Culture Happy Hour) is a little tumblr blog I stumbled across called Nerd Quirks. Give it a look see.
