We talked to our friend who is watching River yesterday and she said that River is definitely missing us. Apparently she caught sight of a woman that looked like me at a distance and went bananas. It's both good and bad to hear these stories. On the one hand it's sort of nice to know that we're missed. On the other hand we don't want River to be unhappy and it makes me miss her more.
In sad news, a pair of friends of ours lost their pug last night. I'm still not clear on what happened, but it was very sudden. Poor little Bella...
