"It" in this case is our living room...she's playing chase with DH.
Last week we got River a dog bed. It's really just a big pillow with a washable cover. We used it in the living room for a few days to get her used to it, then on Sunday night we took it and placed it by DH's bedside table. When bedtime came River went right into her kennel and flopped down. She then noticed that not only had we not closed the door, but whe had removed the door.
She peeked her head out looking to see if it was okay for her to come out. After some sniffing around she spotted the dog bed and marched straight over to it and plopped down for the night. We had put up the baby gate at our bedroom door, but as far as we can tell she didn't move from her new spot all night. So proud!
