We have officially survived Christmas. There was more running around than we would have liked, but less time spent away from the house than we thought we could get away with.
The 'loot' was really top notch. Books (Hunger Games, Catching Fire), CDs (Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry, Adam Lambert, Leona Lewis), DVDs (the latest Harry Potter, Up), games (Wii Sports Resort, Wii Fit Plus). We also got a down comforter and duvet cover, an external back up hard-drive, a nice set of knives with a knife block, and on a sentimental note my mom had my late grandmother's diamond earrings reset for me (they're gorgeous!).
Christmas dinner was an adventure as always. Scheduled for 4pm, DH and I arrived at a quarter after 3pm. We sat down to dinner at 6pm. Oi! I will say this, the food was spectacular. Slow baked ham, orzo, horseradish laced mashed potatoes, seared green beans and onions, four kinds of cranberry sauce... Dessert brought pumpkin pie and plum pudding (which is not the consistency of pudding, and may not actually contain plums).
