Career Goals

I hate review time at our office. It's not the review from my supervisor that I hate - I really do value the input that I get in these meetings. No, what incurs my wrath is the 'self-evaluation' portion of this whole process. Three pages of answers to fill out, for little/no purpose. I've never heard back on any of the answers I've filled out.

ex. State two career goals you have for the next year and how you will go about accomplishing them.

First of all, I don't really feel like I have a 'career.' Doctors, lawyers, these people have careers. Little kids want to grow up to be these. I have a job. A job I like, but I wouldn't necessarily call it a career. Second, I do research. What are my career goals supposed to be?!
