The New York Times economics blog asks "What else might that $60 billion a year buy?" and then answers their own question.
$60 billion is how much extending the current tax cuts for those making over $250k a year, and that's per year! I would say that I can't believe congressional Republicans are fighting for this, but that would be untrue. I can totally believe it.
