Pootastrophe

A pootastrophe is a catastrophe that involves poop. In this case dog poop.

It started like most mornings with me getting up at 7am to get ready for the day. The first part of this involves me feeding River and letting her outside to 'do her business.' As normal, a few minutes after going outside the dog is ready to come back inside and go back to bed. Off she heads to the bedroom and I continue the getting ready process.

A few minutes later, DH is chasing her out of the bedroom. Apparently she had stepped in some old poop while outside, and while it did not track onto the carpet, it did track on the bed spread when she got up to snuggle with DH. And on the sheets where she curled up.

Imagine our delight at having to not only having to wash dog poop off the dog's feet early in the morning, but also at having to strip down the bed, get the soiled items into the washing machine, find the extra sheets and bed spread, and get the bed made back up so that DH could try and go back to sleep. An all around lovely morning.
