...to Kauai, Hawaii. They rented a house (buying was pretty much out of the question at those prices), had tons of visitors, swam every day. 3 years later my stepmom is tired of 6+ hour plane trips to come home and off they go...
...to Fallbrook, California. It's about an hour (?) North of San Diego. My dad will have the nice weather that he craves, and my stepmom will finally live on the mainland US year round...win-win. They're in the process of buying a house. It's pretty cute from all the pictures we've seen. Fingers crossed!
