Happy 4th of July! We're heading up to my aunt and uncle's house for a bbq and then back home for the fireworks display around 10:30 tonight (we live a block away from where a 'professional' display is put on).
I've been apprehensive about the 4th for some time now. We didn't have River yet last year for the 4th and we weren't sure how she would react. Some dogs go bonkers, some are terrified...one of the people I work with has to get tranquilizers for her dogs on the 4th they're so scared.
But I'm a little more optimistic today. There were quite a few fireworks being shot off last night and River seemed curious, but not afraid. She 'oofed' at a few, but that was pretty much the extent of her reaction. So, fingers crossed!
